A NEW HOME FOR FOCAL
After many years at Warrawong Street, Focal has moved to new premises at
6 CANNING STREET, NORTH IPSWICH
The building, constructed in 1887, is the old North Ipswich Police Station. After the police moved to Karana Downs in 1990, the Juvenile Aid Bureau used the building as their offices until 2001.
Extensive renovations were carried out to make the building accessible for our clients and to install wheelchair friendly facilities. Photos of the renovation work can be found in the Photo Gallery.
The site includes a second building which was used by the Department of Weights and Measures and will be used by the new Independent Pathways programme. There is a 4-bay garage and a storage shed also on site. The site has a large open area at the rear where clients are able to access.
