Hi everyone my name is Sean and I attend the Independent Pathways program here at Focal. I am 25 years old and I live in Goodna. I have been asked by t he group to write this report for the newsletter, I do most of the reports for the group because I enjoy doing it and I have good typing skills.
I started in the group because I wanted to do something new. I found the information through the Ipswich Advertiser and applied for a position on the course earlier this year.
I started on the IPP on Moday 10th September 2007 and really enjoy what I'm doing. Since September we have been doing many exciting things including attending the Moreton School transition expo at Goodna on Friday 14th September 2007.
We have also visited the museum in Brisbane and used public transport to get there from Ipswich. We have also visited the Railway workshops in Ipswich and had a great day. We have also visited various other places in the Ipswich area including the local library and Riverlink.
The Independent Pathways group have also worked with other groups such as Vacation Care and the Wednesday group, this helps build up my confidence, learn new skills and meet new people.

I have included some of our photos from our visits and hope you enjoy looking at them.
Overall I have benefited a lot from the group and learned heaps from new things like finding out about the disability standards and how they effect me.
I will keep you up to date on our progress.
Yours sincerely, Sean
